Uilleann Pipes

Fionnán Mac Gabhann is an uilleann piper from Churchtown, Dublin. His mother was born in Newport. He learned to play the pipes at an early age from his father Ultan and later took classes from various pipers at Na Píobairí Uilleann's headquarters in Henrietta Street. His music has been particularly influenced by Willie Clancy, Séamus Ennis, Michael Carney and Seán Mckiernan. Fionnán has taught and performed throughout Ireland, Europe and the USA as a soloist and a member of the group Skipper's Alley.
