Davóg Frayne
Davóg is a Sean-Nós dancer from Knock County Mayo. He has been steeped in traditional dancing styles from his locality and around the county. He has won numerous all-Ireland titles and continues to pass on the tradition to the younger generation. Davóg is also founder of the All-Ireland winning Piper’s Cross Céilí Band and has been strongly influenced by set dancing in his learnings. He is delighted to be teaching at this year’s Féile and is looking forward to meeting all the up and coming dancers.
Liam Scanlon
Liam is an Oireachtas champion, and holder of World and All-Ireland Fleadh titles. Having taught and performed across Europe, North America, Russia, Japan, and New Zealand, he also graduated with a masters in Traditional Dance Performance, from the Irish World Academy in Limerick. Liam was awarded an Arts Council, Next Generation Bursary Award, and was made an Associate Artist at Dance Ireland. Liam’s dance practice draws on many different influences, but he believes in the importance of music, and the ability to feel free and have fun in the moment.
